How it works

1. Play Glacial Chasm either from your hand or from your graveyard.
2. When Glacial Chasm enters the battlefield, its second ability triggers, causing you to sacrifice another land you control.
3. Play any land from your graveyard.
4. At the beginning of your next upkeep, Glacial Chasm's cumulative upkeep ability triggers, allowing you to choose not to pay the cost and sacrifice it instead.
5. Repeat.

This brilliant defensive lock leverages Glacial Chasm to completely shield you from all incoming damage, while Crucible of Worlds acts as your recycling engine to bypass the land's steep sacrifice-on-entry restriction. Because Crucible of Worlds lets you seamlessly replay lands directly from your graveyard, you can simply feed Glacial Chasm's sacrifice requirement right back into the battlefield turn after turn. Meanwhile, Thalia and The Gitrog Monster offers fantastic utility by letting you play an additional land each turn and turning your graveyard into a perpetual hand-refueling station when you sacrifice lands to its attack trigger.
