How it works

  1. Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying EEE, sacrificing Greedy Freebooter and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand.
  2. When Greedy Freebooter dies, it triggers, creating a Treasure token and causing you to scry 1.
  3. Resolve the Chthonian Nightmare ability, returning Priest of Urabrask from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  4. When Priest of Urabrask enters the battlefield, it triggers, adding R manaR manaR mana.
  5. Activate Initiates of the Ebon Hand by paying R mana, adding B mana.
  6. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding B mana.
  7. Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying 1B mana.
  8. When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get EEE.
  9. Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying E, sacrificing Priest of Urabrask and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand, returning Greedy Freebooter from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  10. Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying 1B mana.
  11. When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get EEE.
  12. Repeat.
