How it works

1. Activate Blood Pet by sacrificing it.
2. When Blood Pet dies, Mortuary and Proper Burial trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Blood Pet from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Proper Burial trigger, causing you to gain 1 life
5. Cast Blood Pet from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop uses Mortuary to constantly recycle your fodder back to the top of your library while Proper Burial cushions the cost. With Gwenom, Remorseless in play granting you permission to play cards directly from your library, you can recast Blood Pet by paying life instead of its normal mana cost—a life loss effortlessly offset by the life you gain from Proper Burial's triggered ability every time Blood Pet dies. Because Blood Pet provides black mana when sacrificed, cycling through this loop endlessly generates infinite black mana alongside a storm of death and sacrifice triggers.
