How it works

1. Activate Myr Scrapling by sacrificing it.
2. When Myr Scrapling dies, Mortuary and Proper Burial trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Myr Scrapling from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Proper Burial trigger, causing you to gain 1 life
5. Resolve the Myr Scrapling ability.
6. Cast Myr Scrapling from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop centers around Gwenom, Remorseless, whose attack trigger lets you cast creatures directly from the top of your library by paying life equal to their mana value rather than their mana cost. You feed Myr Scrapling to its own sacrifice ability, growing your creatures with +1/+1 counters while sending the Scrapling straight to your graveyard. Thanks to Mortuary, that dying Scrapling immediately returns to the top of your library, perfectly positioned for Gwenom to recast it. Finally, Proper Burial cushions the life cost of your continuous casting by netting you life equal to the sacrificed creature's toughness every single time it dies.
