How it works

  1. Activate Warren Soultrader by paying 1 life and sacrificing the persist creature.
  2. When the persist creature dies, its persist ability and Proper Burial trigger.
  3. Resolve the persist trigger, returning the persist creature from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
  4. Resolve the Proper Burial trigger, causing you to gain life equal to the persist creature's toughness.
  5. Resolve the Warren Soultrader ability, creating a Treasure token.
  6. When the Treasure enters, Mm'menon triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on the persist creature.
  7. Repeat.
