How it works

  1. Declare Moon-Circuit Hacker as an attacker.
  2. When it isn't blocked, activate up to seven lands you control by tapping them, adding at least 2U manaU manaB mana.
  3. Activate Great Whale's ninjutsu ability by paying 2U manaB mana and returning Moon-Circuit Hacker from the battlefield to your hand, putting Great Whale onto the battlefield from your hand tapped and attacking.
  4. When Great Whale enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping up to seven lands.
  5. Activate Moon-Circuit Hacker's ninjutsu ability by paying U mana and returning Great Whale from the battlefield to your hand, putting Moon-Circuit Hacker onto the battlefield from your hand tapped and attacking.
  6. Repeat from step 2.
  7. If you control up to seven lands that can tap to produce at least 3U manaU manaB mana, this combo nets infinite mana.

This ingenious loop relies on Satoru Umezawa to grant every creature card in your hand a universal ninjutsu cost of {2}{U}{B}, which lets you cycle your heavy hitters directly into the fray. You start by sneaking in Moon-Circuit Hacker for a cheap {U} ninjutsu cost, then bounce it back to your hand by paying the {2}{U}{B} to ninjutsu Great Whale onto the battlefield. The moment Great Whale enters, its triggered ability untaps your lands to refund your mana investment, leaving you with a surplus if your lands produce enough. From there, you simply use Moon-Circuit Hacker's cheap {U} ninjutsu to bounce the Whale back to your hand and repeat the dance, generating infinite mana and endless enter-the-battlefield triggers.
