How it works
- Activate Xavier Sal's second ability by tapping it and sacrificing another creature, putting a +1/+1 counter on it and Basking Broodscale.
- Basking Broodscale triggers, creating a creature token.
- Activate Xavier Sal using Barrenton Medic's second ability by putting a -1/-1 counter on it, untapping Xavier Sal.
- Repeat.
This ingenious engine relies on Agatha's Soul Cauldron to grant Barrenton Medic's self-untapping ability to Xavier Sal, Infested Captain, allowing him to endlessly untap himself by placing a -1/-1 counter on his own body. Meanwhile, Basking Broodscale provides a steady stream of Eldrazi Spawn tokens whenever Xavier Sal proliferates or otherwise adds +1/+1 counters to it. Because Agatha's Soul Cauldron lets you spend mana of any color, you can leverage the sacrificed tokens for infinite resources while utilizing Xavier Sal's sacrifice outlet to constantly fuel the loop.
