Return the Favor

How it works

1. Deal combat damage to an opponent using Etrata, triggering its ability.
2. Holding priority, activate The Peregrine Dynamo by paying 1 and tapping it, copying Etrata's trigger.
3. Holding priority, cast Return the Favor by paying 1, choosing its first mode, copying Etrata's trigger.
4. Resolve all Etrata triggers, exiling three creatures an opponent controls and putting hit counters on them, and then causing that opponent to lose the game.

By sending unblockable combat damage straight to an opponent, Etrata, the Silencer naturally triggers its own lethal exile effect, but we can fast-forward the win condition in a single turn. With The Peregrine Dynamo on your board, you can tap it to copy that legendary trigger, and then double down again by casting Return the Favor with its spree cost to copy the trigger a second time. This stack of triggers resolves to exile three separate creatures under your opponent's control all at once, immediately fulfilling Etrata's requirement and handing you the game on the spot.
