How it works

1. Activate Nyx Lotus by tapping it, adding at least .
2. Cast Bring to Life by paying 2, causing Nyx Lotus to become a 0/0 artifact creature and putting four +1/+1 counters on it.
3. Activate Vigean Graftmage by paying 1, untapping Nyx Lotus.
4. Activate Nyx Lotus by tapping it, adding at least .
5. Repeat from step 3.

This clever loop transforms a humble mana rock into an infinite engine by leveraging Animating Faerie // Bring to Life to turn Nyx Lotus into an artifact creature loaded with four +1/+1 counters. Once the Lotus is thus animated, Vigean Graftmage can repeatedly target and untap it for the low cost of {1}{U}, provided you have enough blue devotion to generate a net surplus of mana with each activation. Because Vigean Graftmage conveniently features graft itself, it sets the stage mechanically for any counters you might need, while the Lotus continuously fuels the entire cycle to yield infinite mana of your devoted colors.
