How it works

1. Activate Aerie Ouphes by sacrificing it, targeting any creature with flying.
2. When Aerie Ouphes dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with no -1/-1 counter on it due to Aerie Ouphes' riot ability.
3. Holding priority, repeat from step 1.
4. Resolve all Aerie Ouphes abilities, dealing infinite damage to the targeted creature(s).

This crafty setup transforms Aerie Ouphes into an endlessly looping engine of destruction, fueled entirely by the overlapping counters from its own mechanics and Rhythm of the Wild. Normally, the persist ability would saddle Aerie Ouphes with a -1/-1 counter upon its return, halting a perpetual sacrifice loop in its tracks. However, Rhythm of the Wild grants the creature riot, allowing it to enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter instead; these two opposing counters instantly annihilate each other through state-based actions, leaving Aerie Ouphes completely clean and ready to be sacrificed all over again. By repeating this process, you generate infinite death, sacrifice, entrance, and leave-the-battlefield triggers while simultaneously pelting flying creatures with infinite damage.
