How it works

4. Repeat.

This loop transforms a single ping into a self-sustaining engine by turning damage directly into ammunition and growth. You start by using Deathbringer Thoctar's activated ability to deal 1 damage to an opponent, which immediately satisfies Ophidian Eye's enchanted condition to draw you a card. That newly drawn card triggers Lyla, Holographic Assistant to place a fresh +1/+1 counter right back onto Deathbringer Thoctar, replenishing the exact resource you just spent. Because Deathbringer Thoctar also triggers whenever another creature dies—or simply loops its own counters here—you can repeat this cycle endlessly to deal near-infinite damage and draw your entire deck.
