How it works

1. Cast Wheel of Misfortune by paying 2, choosing an arbitrarily large number and having Wheel of Misfortune deal that much damage to Truefire Captain instead of you due to Pariah's Shield if you chose the largest number.
2. Truefire Captain triggers, dealing that much damage to an applicable target.

This clever loop turns the self-destructive gamble of Wheel of Misfortune into a lethal weapon by intentionally choosing the highest number to maximize the damage dealt. Thanks to Pariah's Shield safely redirecting that massive payload away from you and onto your own Truefire Captain, you bypass the typical drawback of discarding your hand and instead trigger the Captain's ability. The Captain immediately channels that enormous incoming damage right back into an opponent's face, closing out the game in a single fiery burst.
