How it works

1. Cast Wheel of Misfortune by paying 2.
2. Judith triggers, giving Wheel of Misfortune deathtouch and lifelink.
3. Resolve Wheel of Misfortune, choosing an arbitrarily large number.
4. If you didn't choose the largest number, Wheel of Misfortune deals damage equal to the highest number chosen to each player that chose it, causing those players to lose the game due to having 0 or less life.
5. If you chose the largest number, Wheel of Misfortune deals that much damage to you and causes you to gain twice that much life.

This clever engine turns a high-risk gamble into an overwhelming life-total swing by layering lifelink onto a spell that can deal massive damage to its caster. When you cast Wheel of Misfortune for an arbitrarily large number, Judith, Carnage Connoisseur triggers to grant the wheel both deathtouch and lifelink. If you choose the highest number, Wheel of Misfortune deals that immense amount of damage directly to you, which in turn triggers lifelink to flood your life total upward. Alhammarret's Archive then steps in to double that massive chunk of life gained, leaving you securely out of reach while any opponents foolish enough to match your dangerous bid are eliminated by the self-inflicted damage.
