How it works

1. Activate Atla by paying 2 and tapping it, creating an 0/1 Egg creature token with defender.
2. Activate Ghired by tapping a nontoken creature you control, creating a copy of the Egg token.
3. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing an Egg token.
4. When the Egg dies, Atla triggers, causing you to reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a creature card and put it onto the battlefield.
5. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop is powered by Ghired, Mirror of the Wilds, whose static ability grants all your nontoken creatures a tap-activated ability to copy a token that entered the battlefield this turn. You begin by using Atla Palani, Nest Tender to create an initial Egg token, which Ghired can then replicate. Umbral Collar Zealot provides the necessary sacrifice outlet, triggering Atla Palani's second ability whenever that Egg dies to cheat the next creature straight from your library onto the battlefield. Meanwhile, Hammer of Purphoros ensures your newly arriving threats aren't left waiting by granting all your creatures haste, letting you immediately continue the cycle and empty your library of every creature it holds.
