How it works
- Activate Atla by paying 2 and tapping it, creating an 0/1 Egg creature token with defender.
- Activate Ghired by tapping a nontoken creature you control, creating a copy of the Egg token.
- Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing an Egg token.
- When the Egg dies, Atla triggers, causing you to reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a creature card and put it onto the battlefield.
- Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
- Repeat from step 2.
This loop relies on Atla Palani, Nest Tender to populate your board with Egg tokens, which Altar of Dementia happily sacrifices to trigger Atla's death ability and rip through your library for more creatures. Meanwhile, Ghired, Mirror of the Wilds turns your freshly cheated-in creatures into makeshift populators, letting you tap them to copy your existing Eggs on demand. Samut, Voice of Dissent rounds out the engine by granting the crucial haste needed for Ghired and Atla Palani to act immediately, while her untap ability can even help cycle through extra activations if necessary.
