How it works

1. Activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing a nontoken Egg or a nontoken creature with changeling.
2. When the creature dies, Atla Palani and Mortuary trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting the creature on top of your library from your graveyard.
4. Resolve the Atla Palani trigger, revealing the creature from the top of your library and then putting it onto the battlefield.
5. Resolve the Viscera Seer ability from step 1, causing you to scry 1.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on a closed-circuit ecosystem where Atla Palani, Nest Tender provides the raw material by hatching your deck for creatures when an Egg or changeling bites the dust. By using Viscera Seer to sacrifice that key creature, you trigger both Atla Palani's hatch-from-deck ability and Mortuary's placement effect simultaneously. Mortuary ensures the sacrificed creature goes straight back to the top of your library just in time for Atla Palani's trigger to immediately cheat it right back onto the battlefield. Meanwhile, Viscera Seer's built-in scry ability gives you topdeck control while fueling an endless cycle of creature entries, sacrifices, and deaths.
