How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing a nontoken Egg or a nontoken creature with changeling.
2. When the creature dies, Atla Palani and Mortuary trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting the creature on top of your library from your graveyard.
4. Resolve the Atla Palani trigger, revealing the creature from the top of your library and then putting it onto the battlefield.
5. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability from step 1, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Atla Palani, Nest Tender into a relentless engine by leveraging Mortuary's continuous effect whenever a creature meets its end. By sacrificing your chosen creature to Carrion Feeder, Mortuary ensures the sacrificed creature goes straight back to the top of your library instead of the graveyard, allowing Atla Palani's triggered ability to immediately cheat it right back onto the battlefield. This closed loop lets you endlessly feed Carrion Feeder to grow it to infinite size while farming an endless stream of sacrifice, death, and entry triggers.
