How it works

1. Activate Atla by paying 2 and tapping it, creating an 0/1 Egg creature token with defender.
2. Activate Ghired by tapping a nontoken creature you control, creating a copy of the Egg token.
3. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing an Egg token.
4. When the Egg dies, Atla triggers, causing you to reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a creature card and put it onto the battlefield.
5. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This delightful loop sets up a self-sustaining cycle of avian creation and sacrifice, powered by Ghired, Mirror of the Wilds granting your nontoken creatures the ability to duplicate fresh tokens. You use Atla Palani, Nest Tender to hatch out the initial 0/1 Egg creature tokens, which are then immediately fed to Altar of Dementia to mill your opponents and trigger Atla's death ability to flip straight into more creatures. Meanwhile, Smellerbee, Rebel Fighter hangs out on the battlefield, though its first strike and hand-discarding attack triggers aren't even needed to keep this terrifying egg-cracking engine running indefinitely.
