How it works

1. Cause a creature to enter the battlefield under your control by any method.
2. When that creature enters the battlefield, Reaper King triggers, destroying that creature.
3. Resolve Atla Palani's trigger, revealing cards from the top of your library until you reveal a creature card and putting it onto the battlefield.
4. Repeat from step 2 until Vigor enters the battlefield then dies, or until you choose to end the loop by destroying an opponent's permanent.
5. If Vigor dies, it and Atla Palani trigger.
6. Resolve Vigor's trigger, shuffling it into your library.
7. Continue from step 3.

This clever loop relies on Maskwood Nexus to turn every creature you own into a Scarecrow and an Egg, bridging the gap between your engine pieces. Once Atla Palani, Nest Tender taps to start the chain with an Egg, Reaper King immediately destroys whatever creature steps onto the battlefield, which in turn triggers Atla Palani to flip another creature from your library. As this cascade continues, Vigor steps in to act as a crucial safety valve: if Vigor is ever caught in the crossfire and sent to the graveyard, its replacement effect shuffles it right back into your library to keep the loop infinitely sustainable without decking yourself.
