How it works
- Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing another creature.
- When the creature dies as an Egg due to Maskwood Nexus, Atla triggers, revealing a creature card from your library and putting it onto the battlefield.
- Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
- Repeat as desired / able.
This ingenious loop turns your entire deck into a cascading engine by leveraging the passive transformations of Maskwood Nexus, which ensures that every creature you control is permanently treated as an Egg. With that type-altering foundation laid, you can repeatedly use Altar of Dementia to sacrifice a creature to mill an opponent, which immediately triggers Atla Palani, Nest Tender to hatch the next creature directly from your library onto the battlefield. Because the newly revealed creature also inherits the Egg type from Maskwood Nexus, sacrificing it to Altar of Dementia keeps the chain going endlessly until every creature card in your deck has marched onto the battlefield or into your graveyard.
