How it works

  1. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing another creature.
  2. When the creature dies as an Egg due to Xenograft, Atla triggers, revealing a creature card from your library and putting it onto the battlefield.
  3. Repeat as desired / able.

This brilliant loop turns your entire deck into a marching army by blurring the lines between what makes an Egg and what makes a monster. With Xenograft on the battlefield naming "Egg," every single creature you control—including whatever pops out of your library—counts as an Egg the moment it arrives. This means when you sacrifice a creature to Thermopod for red mana, Atla Palani, Nest Tender sees an Egg die and immediately triggers to crack open the top of your library, revealing the next creature to take its place. Because Thermopod also lets you sacrifice that newly revealed creature to start the cycle over again, you can rapidly churn through your entire library, filling the battlefield with every creature card you own.
