How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Squee and Skyfire Phoenix, adding .
2. Cast Squee from your graveyard by paying .
3. Skyfire Phoenix triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. Repeat.

This cunning engine relies on Semblance Anvil to heavily discount our creature spells, making Squee, the Immortal cheap enough to cast repeatedly from the graveyard. As you cast your commander—since Squee functions as one in this context—Skyfire Phoenix surges back from the graveyard directly onto the battlefield. From there, Phyrexian Altar acts as the ultimate recycling plant, sacrificing both Squee and the Phoenix to generate the exact mana needed to restart the loop and fuel an infinite storm count.
