How it works
- Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Squee and Skyfire Phoenix, adding .
- Cast Squee from your graveyard by paying .
- Skyfire Phoenix triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
- Repeat.
This ingenious loop turns our graveyard into an endless engine, fueled smoothly by Phyrexian Altar to generate infinite sacrifice and death triggers. Squee, the Immortal is the star of the show here, stepping right out of the graveyard over and over again because he can be cast straight from exile or the yard. To make the math work, Ruby Medallion steps in to discount Squee's casting cost, ensuring the mana we get back from the Altar is enough to recast him indefinitely. Meanwhile, Skyfire Phoenix hitches a ride on the action; every time we cast our commander (Squee acting as our commander in this format), the Phoenix triggers and returns itself straight from the graveyard to the battlefield alongside him, ready to be sacrificed right back to the Altar.
