How it works

1. Activate Benthic Biomancer by paying 1, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
2. Benthic Biomancer triggers, causing you to loot.
3. Horizon Chimera triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
4. Archangel of Thune triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This delightful self-sustaining loop relies on a clever cycle of triggers that feed directly back into one another. It all kicks off when you pay for Benthic Biomancer's adapt ability, placing a +1/+1 counter on it to spark its looting trigger—which in turn forces Horizon Chimera to grant you life from the card draw. That sudden burst of life triggers Archangel of Thune, which pumps a +1/+1 counter back onto Benthic Biomancer (and the rest of your board), resetting the whole chain. Because Benthic Biomancer already has a counter when the new one arrives, future iterations can bypass the adapt activation entirely, letting you cycle through your deck while stacking massive stats across your creatures.
