How it works

1. Activate Volrath by paying 1, causing Volrath to become a copy of Marwyn until your next turn.
2. Activate Volrath by tapping it, adding at least seven .
3. Activate Volrath by paying 1, causing Volrath to become a copy of Glider Bairn until end of turn.
4. Activate Volrath by paying 2G/U and untapping it, proliferating all the counters on target permanent.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This loop transforms Volrath, the Shapestealer into a shapeshifting engine capable of generating boundless resources by borrowing the best traits of its allies. By using Volrath's ability to copy Marwyn, the Nurturer, it gains Marwyn's power-scaling mana production, while Marwyn naturally grows larger whenever other Elves enter the fray. Once sufficiently powered up, Volrath pivots to copying Gilder Bairn, whose untap ability allows you to rapidly multiply all counters on your permanents. This explosive growth feeds back into itself, letting you continuously cycle between Marwyn's mana and Gilder Bairn's doubling effect to generate infinite green mana and infinite proliferate triggers.
