How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Body Double.
2. When Body Double leaves the battlefield, its Vesperlark ability triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Vesperlark.
3. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop relies on Body Double entering the battlefield as a copy of Vesperlark, leveraging Vesperlark's leaves-the-battlefield trigger to constantly recycle itself from the graveyard. Whenever Body Double leaves play, its newly acquired Vesperlark ability catches the event and brings it right back as a fresh copy of Vesperlark, ready to do it all again. Carrion Feeder acts as the designated sacrifice outlet that triggers this entire sequence while greedily consuming the copies to grow infinitely large with +1/+1 counters.
