How it works

1. During your precombat main phase, activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing the legendary creature with flying.
2. When the creature dies, Jackdaw Savior triggers, returning Loyal Retainers from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Activate Loyal Retainers by sacrificing it, returning the legendary creature with flying from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. Repeat.

This clever recursion loop relies on Jackdaw Savior's flying-triggered ability to continuously pull pieces out of the graveyard whenever a creature with flying meets its end. By using Carrion Feeder as a sacrifice outlet, you send your legendary creature with flying to the graveyard while growing the Feeder's power with +1/+1 counters. That death then triggers Jackdaw Savior, bringing back Loyal Retainers so that it can immediately sacrifice itself to return your legendary flyer to the battlefield, resetting the loop.
