How it works
- Cast Technomancer by paying 5.
- When Technomancer enters, it triggers, causing you to mill three cards and return Phyrexian Metamorph from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- When Phyrexian Metamorph enters, it triggers. Holding priority, activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Phyrexian Metamorph.
- Resolve the Phyrexian Metamorph trigger, causing you to mill three cards and return Phyrexian Metamorph from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- Repeat from step 3.
This clever loop turns Technomancer into a self-sustaining engine by letting a copied clone repeatedly trigger its own resurrection. When Technomancer enters the battlefield, it grabs Phyrexian Metamorph out of the graveyard disguised as another copy of itself; before that new trigger resolves, you sacrifice the Metamorph to Carrion Feeder to feed the graveyard, allowing the ETB trigger to pull it right back out again. Because Technomancer's recursion allows you to target artifact creatures with a total mana value of 6 or less, the Metamorph fits the bill perfectly to continuously restart the cycle.
