How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Relentless Skaabs
2. When Relentless Skaabs dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
3. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Relentless Skaabs
4. When Relentless Skaabs dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
5. Resolve both Carrion Feeder abilities from step 1 and 3.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop uses Isilu, Carrier of Twilight—the night-facing side of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn—to grant your other nontoken creatures persist, while Relentless Skaabs naturally brings its own undying ability to the table. By repeatedly feeding Relentless Skaabs to Carrion Feeder, you alternate between triggering undying and persist; the resulting +1/+1 and -1/+1 counters elegantly cancel each other out upon return, keeping the creature's counter ledger clean so the cycle can start anew. This engine grows your Carrion Feeder infinitely large while generating an endless stream of entries, exits, sacrifices, and death triggers to seal your victory.
