How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Karmic Guide.
2. When Karmic Guide dies, Syr Vondam triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it and causing you to gain 1 life.
3. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability.
4. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Junji.
5. When Junji dies, it and Syr Vondam trigger.
6. Resolve the Syr Vondam trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on it and causing you to gain 1 life.
7. Resolve the Junji trigger, returning Karmic Guide from your graveyard to the battlefield and causing you to lose 2 life.
8. When Karmic Guide enters, it triggers, returning Junji from your graveyard to the battlefield.
9. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability.
10. Repeat.

This devious loop puts your graveyard to work by turning Carrion Feeder into an engine that constantly recycles your heavy hitters. When you feed Junji, the Midnight Sky to Carrion Feeder, Junji's death trigger brings back Karmic Guide—which promptly returns Junji right back to the graveyard whenever it enters the battlefield. Meanwhile, Syr Vondam, Sunstar Exemplar passively watches the carnage, growing ever larger with every creature that dies or leaves, insulating your life total while waiting to smash nonland permanents once its power hits four or greater.
