How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Tarpan.
2. When Tarpan dies, it and Mortuary triggers.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Tarpan from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Tarpan trigger, causing you to gain 1 life
5. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability.
6. Cast Tarpan from the top of your library by paying 1 life due to Gwenom.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns a modest caterpillar and a cheap zombie into an engine of endless growth and recovery, anchored by Mortuary's ability to seamlessly reroute your fallen creatures straight back to the top of your library. Carrion Feeder acts as the sacrifice outlet that keeps the machinery moving, growing larger with every iteration while processing whatever fodder you feed it. Tarpan provides the initial fuel by cycling endlessly between the graveyard and library, and because Gwenom, Remorseless allows you to cast cards directly from the top of your library by paying life instead of mana, you can bypass traditional casting costs entirely. The lifelink granted by Gwenom, Remorseless even offsets the life you pay to cast Tarpan over and over, creating a self-sustaining loop of sacrifice, death, and triumphant recurrence.
