How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing a persist creature that doesn't have a -1/-1 counter on it.
2. When the creature dies, its persist ability and Long Feng trigger.
3. Resolve the Long Feng trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on the other persist creature.
4. Resolve the persist trigger, returning the creature from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
5. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on the interaction between a sacrifice outlet and the death-trigger mechanics of Long Feng, Grand Secretariat to continuously cycle creatures back and forth from the battlefield. By using Carrion Feeder to repeatedly sacrifice a persist creature, you trigger both its own graveyard-returning ability and Long Feng, Grand Secretariat's trigger whenever a creature is put into your graveyard from the battlefield. The +1/+1 counters placed by Long Feng, Grand Secretariat counteract the -1/+1 counters that persist normally applies upon return, letting you feed Carrion Feeder endlessly while generating infinite death triggers, enter-the-battlefield triggers, and a massive creature.
