How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Wakandan Royal Guard.
2. When Wakandan Royal Guard dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Wakandan Royal Guard enters, it triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on the graceful transformation of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight into its Isilu, Carrier of Twilight face, which grants every other nontoken creature you control the persist ability. With that engine running, you can sacrifice Wakandan Royal Guard to Carrion Feeder, triggering its new persist to return it to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter. Wakandan Royal Guard's own entrance trigger then places a +1/+1 counter on it, which immediately neutralizes the -1/-1 counter via state-based actions and sets you up to repeat the entire sacrificial cycle endlessly.
