How it works

1. Activate Ulasht by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from it, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
2. When the Saproling enters the battlefield, Cathars' Crusade and Mana Echoes trigger.
3. Resolve the Cathars' Crusade trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.
4. Resolve the Mana Echoes trigger, adding C for each Saproling you control.
5. Repeat.

This vibrant engine spins out of control by turning Ulasht, the Hate Seed into a self-sustaining token generator, where every Saproling it creates feeds back into the loop. Cathars' Crusade ensures that your entire board grows larger with each new arrival, which simultaneously increases the explosive mana output of Mana Echoes. Because Mana Echoes scales with creatures sharing a type, each new token generates an ever-growing surplus of colorless mana to pay for Ulasht's ability while leaving you with an overwhelming army of powered-up creatures.
