How it works
- Deal combat damage using the creature that has Breath of Fury attached and Living Hive, triggering Breath of Fury and Living Hive.
- Resolve the Living Hive trigger, creating at least one creature token.
- Resolve the Breath of Fury trigger, causing you to sacrifice the creature it is attached to, then attach Breath of Fury to a creature token, then causing you to untap all creatures you control and to get an additional combat phase after this one.
- Repeat each combat phase.
This vicious loop hinges on Breath of Fury turning any combat damage dealt to an opponent into an immediate untap and an extra combat phase. By enchanting Living Hive—which floods the board with 1/1 green Insect creature tokens proportional to the massive combat damage it dishes out—you ensure there is always a fresh body waiting to inherit the Aura. Meanwhile, Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded grants your newly minted tokens haste so they can charge straight into battle during the next combat phase, keeping the chain of sacrifices and extra turns spinning infinitely.
