How it works

1. Activate Marneus Calgar by paying 6, creating two 2/2 Astartes Warrior creature tokens.
2. When the Astartes Warriors enter the battlefield, Marneus Calgar triggers, causing you to draw a card.
3. Activate Lotus Ring's equip ability by paying 0 due to Puresteel Paladin, attaching it to an Astartes Warrior.
4. Activate the Astartes Warrior with Lotus Ring attached by tapping and sacrificing it, adding 3.
5. Repeat from step 3 for the remaining Astartes Warrior.
6. Repeat from step 1.

This engine spins into motion thanks to Marneus Calgar's activated ability, which burns six mana to pump out a pair of 2/2 Astartes Warrior tokens while triggering Marneus Calgar's own ability to draw a card. With Rising of the Day on the board granting haste and a subtle power boost, and Puresteel Paladin enabling metalcraft to make the equip cost of Lotus Ring completely free, you can immediately snap the heavy ring onto your newly minted soldiers. From there, you tap and sacrifice those equipped Astartes Warriors to Lotus Ring's own ability to generate three mana, which neatly funds the next activation of Marneus Calgar's token-making army to keep the loop spinning infinitely.
