How it works

1. Activate the creature with Leyline Immersion attached by tapping it, adding 4 that can only be spent to cast spells.
2. Cast Whim of Volrath with buyback by paying 2, targeting Chakram Retriever.
3. Chakram Retriever triggers, causing you to untap the creature with Leyline Immersion attached.
4. Resolve Whim of Volrath, returning it to your hand.
5. Repeat.
6. Once you have infinite mana, you may use Chakram Retriever's ability to untap any other creature(s) you control.

This elegant loop turns a simple text-changing spell into an engine for infinite mana.
