How it works

1. Activate Ant Queen by paying 1, creating two creature tokens.
2. Activate the creature tokens by tapping them, adding 1.
3. Repeat

This delightful engine turns a buzzing swarm of insects into a self-sustaining loop by letting your new arrivals immediately pitch in. Thanks to Cryptolith Rite, every creature you control gains the tap ability to generate mana, funding the {1}{G} activation cost required to keep Ant Queen pumping out tokens. Meanwhile, Chatterfang, Squirrel General acts as an essential multiplier, doubling every single token creation event by spitting out an equal number of Squirrels alongside your Insects. While Garna, the Bloodflame isn't strictly necessary to pull off the initial tapping loop, her presence gives your newly generated army immediate haste and a way to recur fallen comrades if the board gets wiped.
