How it works

1. Cast Phyrexian Dreadnought from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
2. When Phyrexian Dreadnought enters, it triggers, causing you to sacrifice it.
3. When Phyrexian Dreadnought dies, Mortuary and Grave Venerations trigger.
4. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Phyrexian Dreadnought from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
5. Resolve the Grave Venerations trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Gwenom, Remorseless to continuously cast Phyrexian Dreadnought straight from the top of your library, bypassing its normal mana cost by paying a single point of life instead. As the massive artifact creature enters and immediately hits your graveyard due to its own sacrifice trigger, Mortuary steps in to instantly recycle it back to the top of your library. Meanwhile, Grave Venerations acts as your ultimate engine of attrition, draining your opponents and gaining you life for every single iteration of the loop while also giving you the monarch crown when it first enters.
