How it works

1. Activate Heartless Hidetsugu by tapping it, dealing damage to each opponent equal to 1.5 times their life total, and dealing no damage to you due to Pariah.

By pairing Heartless Hidetsugu with City on Fire, you drastically rewrite the math of the game, turning a simple halving effect into lethal damage. Normally, Heartless Hidetsugu halves each player's life total, but the damage amplification from City on Fire triples that output to 150% of each opponent's life total, instantly wiping them out. Meanwhile, the humble Aura of Pariah redirects all that incoming damage away from you and onto a chosen creature instead, insulating you completely from the apocalyptic fallout and leaving you the last one standing.
