How it works
- Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Archaeomancer and another nontoken creature, adding 1.
- Cast Continue? by paying 1, returning Archaeomancer and at least one other creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.
- When Archaeomancer enters, it triggers, returning Continue? from your graveyard to your hand.
- Repeat.
This elegant loop turns a graveyard into an engine by cycling Archaeomancer and its fodder through Phyrexian Altar and back again. When you cast Continue?, you pull Archaeomancer right back to the battlefield along with a sacrificed companion, instantly triggering its ability to pluck the very same Continue? out of your graveyard and return it to your hand. Meanwhile, Phyrexian Altar quietly converts those sacrificed creatures into the exact mana you need to recast the spell, sustaining the cycle indefinitely.
