How it works

  1. Cast Walk the Aeons by paying its mana cost, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
  2. Cast Ephemerate by paying W mana, blinking Archaeomancer and exiling Ephemerate.
  3. When Archaeomancer enters, it triggers, returning Walk the Aeons from your graveyard to your hand.
  4. Move to your next turn. At the beginning of your upkeep, Ephemerate's rebound ability triggers, causing you to cast it from exile without paying its mana cost.
  5. Resolve Ephemerate, blinking Archaeomancer.
  6. When Archaeomancer enters, it triggers, returning Ephemerate from your graveyard to your hand.
  7. Repeat.

This clever loop achieves infinite turns by cycling an extra-turn spell and an efficient blink engine through a recursion specialist. You cast Walk the Aeons to secure your extra turn, while Ephemerate handles the heavy lifting by blinking Archaeomancer both on initial casting and once again during your next upkeep courtesy of its rebound ability. Every time Archaeomancer enters the battlefield, its triggered ability grabs a key resource back from your graveyard—first returning Walk the Aeons to your hand, and later bringing back Ephemerate itself to sustain the perpetual cycle.
