How it works

  1. Deal combat damage to an opponent using a Rogue.
  2. Cast Notorious Throng for its prowl cost by paying 5U mana, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
  3. Cast Archaeomancer by paying its mana cost.
  4. When Archaeomancer enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Notorious Throng from your graveyard to your hand.
  5. Move to your next turn.
  6. Activate Dour Port-Mage by paying 1U mana and tapping it, returning Archaeomancer from the battlefield to your hand.
  7. Dour Port-Mage triggers, causing you to draw a card.
  8. Repeat.

This engine achieves infinite turns and an endless card-drawing loop by exploiting a recurring recursion loop between Archaeomancer and Notorious Throng. Once you’ve successfully prowled Notorious Throng to take an extra turn, casting Archaeomancer lets you buy the extra-turn spell right back out of your graveyard. To keep the chain going, Dour Port-Mage steps in as the engine's logistical backbone, using its activated ability to bounce Archaeomancer back to your hand for reuse while simultaneously triggering its own static-like draw ability each time a creature leaves without dying.
