How it works
- Activate Benthic Biomancer by paying 1, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
- Benthic Biomancer triggers, causing you to loot.
- Sheoldred triggers, causing you to gain 2 life.
- Benthic Biomancer triggers, putting two +1/+1 counters on it.
- Repeat from step 2.
This clever loop turns a simple adaptation into an unstoppable engine by leveraging Sheoldred, the Apocalypse to bridge card draw and lifegain. When you use Benthic Biomancer's ability to put a +1/+1 counter on it, its triggered ability makes you draw and discard a card, which immediately prompts Sheoldred, the Apocalypse to reward you with 2 life. That sudden influx of life powers up Sunbond, enchanting the Biomancer to place even more counters back onto it, which triggers the whole cycle anew.
