How it works

1. Cast the artifact by paying 0.
2. Toph, Hardheaded Teacher triggers, earthbending Izzet Boilerworks.
3. Resolve the artifact spell.
4. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Izzet Boilerworks.
5. When Izzet Boilerworks dies, Toph, Hardheaded Teach triggers, returning Izzet Boilerworks from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
6. When Izzet Boilerworks enters, it triggers, returning the artifact cast in step 1 from the battlefield to your hand, as it's a land due to Toph, the First Metalbender.
7. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability
8. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the unassuming synergy of Toph, the First Metalbender into a relentless engine by turning your free artifacts into lands on the battlefield. With Izzet Boilerworks already in play, casting any zero-mana artifact lets Toph, Hardheaded Teacher earthbend it into a creature, which you can immediately feed to Bloodflow Connoisseur. Because Toph, the First Metalbender makes that artifact a land, its subsequent death triggers Izzet Boilerworks' bounce ability to return the artifact right back to your hand. As the whole cycle repeats, you fuel Bloodflow Connoisseur's sacrifice ability to grow infinitely large while churning through an endless parade of artifact and creature triggers.
