How it works

1. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing a green nontoken creature.
2. When the creature dies, Verdant Succession and Mortuary trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting the creature on top of your library from your graveyard.
4. Resolve the Verdant Succession trigger, returning the creature from your library to the battlefield.
5. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability.
6. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns Bloodflow Connoisseur into a relentless sacrifice engine by manipulating the destiny of your fallen green creatures. Whenever you feed a creature to the Connoisseur, Mortuary quietly intercepts it on its way to the graveyard to stack it neatly on top of your library, exactly where Verdant Succession needs it to be. This allows Verdant Succession to instantly pull that same creature right back onto the battlefield, ready to be sacrificed over and over again to pile endless +1/+1 counters onto your Bloodflow Connoisseur.
