How it works

1. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing the persist creature.
2. When the persist creature dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When the persist creature enters the battlefield, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
5. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns Cayth, Famed Mechanist into a masterclass of industrial recycling by granting fabricate 1 to your entire team—including the creature with persist that keeps coming back from the dead. As that creature enters, its new fabricate ability triggers to place a +1/+1 counter on it, which conveniently cancels out the -1/-1 counter it received from persist so it can be sacrificed to Bloodflow Connoisseur all over again. Meanwhile, Bloodflow Connoisseur happily grows infinitely large with each cycle, fueling an endless stream of sacrifice, death, and entry triggers.
