How it works

1. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Obstinate Gargoyle
2. When Obstinate Gargoyle dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Obstinate Gargoyle enters, Stalwart Successor triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Obstinate Gargoyle
4. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop centers around Obstinate Gargoyle and its persist ability, which normally brings it back from the graveyard with a punishing -1/-1 counter once. By feeding it to Bloodflow Connoisseur, we send the Gargoyle to the graveyard only for it to rise again, instantly triggering Stalwart Successor to drop a +1/+1 counter on it the moment it returns. That new counter brilliantly neutralizes the -1/-1 counter through state-based actions while also fueling the Successor's ability to grow the Gargoyle even further. The result is a self-sustaining engine of endless sacrifices, enter-the-battlefield events, and infinitely growing power across your board.
