How it works

1. Activate Sarkhan's first loyalty ability by putting a loyalty counter on it, causing it to become a legendary 4/4 Dragon creature with flying, indestructible and haste.
2. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing Sarkhan.
3. When Sarkhan dies, Ratadrabik triggers, creating a token copy of Sarkhan that isn't legendary.
4. Repeat using the Sarkhan token.

This clever loop turns Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker into a self-replicating engine by using his own planeswalker ability to make him a legendary creature. Once Sarkhan is animated, Thermopod provides the necessary sacrifice outlet to bin him for red mana, which simultaneously triggers Ratadrabik of Urborg's static ability to spawn a non-legendary copy. Because the resulting token retains Sarkhan's creature types and characteristics—including his ability to animate back into a creature—you can sacrifice the copy to Thermopod all over again to keep the loop going indefinitely.
