How it works

1. During your upkeep, activate Hell's Caretaker by tapping and sacrificing it, returning Body Double from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Hell's Caretaker.
2. Activate Body Double by tapping and sacrificing it, returning Hell's Caretaker from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. Repeat.

This elegant loop relies on an endless exchange of identities between Hell's Caretaker and Body Double. Because Body Double enters the graveyard as part of its own activation, it can immediately copy the Hell's Caretaker you just sacrificed, setting up a continuous cycle of resurrection during your upkeep. Gimli's Reckless Might rounds out the engine nicely by giving your creatures haste, ensuring that any other pieces you bring along for the ride are instantly ready to act.
